How to Use the Service: Step by Step

The platform consists of three main tools: LED Search → AI Datasheet Analysis → Luminaire Parameter Calculator. You can switch between them at any time via the top navigation bar.

Step 1. Find LEDs

  1. Open the "LED Search" section from the top navigation bar.
  2. In the "Enter Criteria to Search LEDs" card, fill in any field: Package, Voltage, CCT, CRI, Min. Qty, or Part Number. Option lists update dynamically and filter based on your selections.
  3. Click "Search". The button remains disabled until at least one filter is specified.
  4. The "Search Results" table appears with columns: Part Number, Description, Datasheet, On Order (pcs), In Stock (pcs), Price (CNY), Price (USD). Clicking "Open" in the Datasheet column launches the PDF in a new tab.
  5. If no items match your criteria, "No matches found for your query" is displayed. If over 100 items match, a prompt will ask you to narrow search filters.

Two Helpful Notes:

  • If "Part Number" is entered, search matches part number only — other filter fields are ignored. To search by parameters, clear the part number input.
  • Your work is preserved: search parameters, results, and selected rows are saved in the browser localStorage and persist across page refreshes.

Step 2. Select Items and Send Datasheets to Analysis

  1. Select checkboxes next to target rows directly in the Search Results table. You can select all visible rows via the table header checkbox. Selected items appear in a summary block below.
  2. In the selection block ("Select Items for Luminaire Calculation (Max 2 Items)"), check up to two LEDs to compare. Rows lacking a datasheet link cannot be checked.
  3. Check desired items inside this card and click "Send to AI datasheet analysis". The button activates once at least one item is checked.
  4. The "AI Datasheet Analysis" page opens. The PDF for each selected item is pre-loaded into its slot, part number filled, graph types preset, and prices, CCT, CRI, and ratings imported from search. Next, proceed to Step 4.

Exporting to spreadsheets is straightforward: use "Copy all" in the selection panel or "Copy selected" in search results to copy the formatted table to your clipboard.

Step 3. Upload a Datasheet Manually

Use this step if you have a PDF datasheet but did not start from the search tool.

  1. Open the "AI Datasheet Analysis" section from the top menu.
  2. The page features two slots — "LED #1" and "LED #2". The second slot is only needed when comparing two components.
  3. Drag and drop your PDF into the upload zone or click to browse files. Only PDF files are accepted.
  4. The file name and size will display. To change files, click "Clear selected file".
  5. If an issue occurs with the document, an "Error" badge will appear indicating the cause.

Step 4. Choose Graph Types and Run Recognition

  1. In the "Graph Types" section, check desired graphs: "Flux vs. Current", "Flux vs. Temperature", "Voltage vs. Current". Checking "All" selects all three.
  2. Click "Read graph" (for single selection) or "Read graphs" (for multiple). The button activates once a file is uploaded and at least one graph type is checked.
  3. During processing, the button displays "Fetching PDF..." or "Reading...".
  4. The "Graph Reading Result for <type>" card displays two panels: "Cropped Graph" (extracted PDF crop with page number) and "Reconstruction" (reconstructed curve showing "Processing complete").
  5. If "Graph not found" appears, review the diagnostic note. A network interruption may also trigger this; retry if appropriate. If the document genuinely lacks the graph, select another graph type or file.
  6. The header displays a "Verified N/M" counter tracking verified curves.

Step 5. Verify and Store Calibration Points

Verification is required: the service shows what it extracted, but you validate its numerical precision.

  1. Open the target graph panel. In the first sub-panel ("To verify the graph, set at least one pair of reference points"), enter reliable X and Y coordinates read directly from the original graph grid.
  2. Input X and Y in the first reference pair. Up to three pairs are available to inspect different curve segments.
  3. The "Values on Reconstructed Curve" panel automatically interpolates Y values at the same X coordinates. Compare against your reference; the Err field shows percentage deviation (green up to 2%, red above 2%).
  4. When all errors are ≤ 2%, click "Verify". The button is disabled while error exceeds 2% or reference points are missing.
  5. Upon success, the button indicates "Verified" and the slot counter increments. If verification fails or times out, please try again.
  6. Verified panels can be collapsed using "Collapse" to save screen space.
  7. Changes to reference points are not saved after verification. To recalibrate, re-read the graph.
  8. If deviation exceeds 2% and cannot be verified, click "Report inaccuracy" to send diagnostics for model training.

Important: The "Flux vs. Current" graph must be verified. Without it, the calculator transfer remains locked.

Step 6. Transfer Curves to the Calculator

  1. In the verified slot, click "To calculator". The button activates once the "Flux vs. Current" graph is verified.
  2. The "Luminaire Parameter Calculation" page opens with two slots — "LED #1" and "LED #2". Data populates the slot from which you clicked.
  3. Each slot has its own "To calculator" button, allowing transfer of one or both LEDs.

Digitized curves exist in the active browser tab session. Refreshing the page or opening a new tab requires re-reading. Part numbers, prices, and manually entered values persist in storage.

Step 7. Calculate and Compare

There is no separate "calculate" button: values update automatically as soon as inputs are sufficient.

  1. In the "LED Part Number" block, verify the part number and price. Price is used to determine cost per lumen and imports from search.
  2. In the "General Specifications" block, inspect Max Current, CCT, CRI, Nominal Voltage, and Nominal Flux.
  3. In the "Parameters at Different Currents" block, enter target currents (mA) in the Option 1, Option 2, or Option 3 columns. Results display immediately.
  4. The "Temperature Ts" row activates only when the "Flux vs. Temperature" graph is verified.
  5. In the "Luminaire Parameters" block, enter LED Count, Driver Efficiency (%), and Optics Efficiency (%).
  6. Compare outputs across voltage, flux, efficacy, and lumen cost, as well as total luminaire flux, power, and total LED cost.
  7. Select checkboxes for options you wish to export. The "Copy calculations" button appears and copies formatted TSV/HTML data to your clipboard.
  8. "Reset all" clears inputs and selections in both slots.

If calculation columns show dashes, confirm that required curves are verified: only validated curves feed the calculator model.

Key Takeaways

  • Verification is mandatory. Curve data only enters the calculator after verification; the "Flux vs. Current" graph is required for transfer.
  • Avoid refreshing mid-session. Active curve models live in tab memory, though saved inputs and search results persist in storage.
  • Two LEDs, two slots. Slot 2 is used for side-by-side comparison; single-item calculations run fully in Slot 1.
  • Accuracy. Digitization targets ±2% tolerance. Calculations remain bounded by the accuracy of the manufacturer datasheet.
